Blue Rock Ct, Corte Madera: two-zone ducted heat pump with ERV
A top-floor furnace removed and two Mitsubishi ducted heat pumps installed in the crawlspace, one per floor, with an ERV supplying fresh air to both.
This Corte Madera home had a furnace on the top floor. We removed it and installed two Mitsubishi 1.5-ton ducted heat pumps in the crawlspace, one for each floor, with new returns, new plenums and rerouted supply duct. A Panasonic ERV in the crawlspace now supplies fresh air to both zones. In 2026 the owner had us back to reroute and extend a return in rigid duct.

Outcome
Each floor has its own heat pump and thermostat, and both get continuous fresh air from the ERV.
