Ivanhoe Rd, Oakland: rigid duct replacement after asbestos abatement
Old asbestos-wrapped ductwork removed under containment and replaced with sealed, insulated rigid galvanized duct in an Oakland home.
The existing ducts in this Oakland home had asbestos-containing material. A licensed abatement subcontractor removed it under containment with negative air before we started. We then hard-piped new rigid galvanized supply and return duct, 6 to 16 inch round, with balancing dampers, sealed every joint and wrapped the system in FSK-faced insulation.
